Terms of Service

Effective date: August 30, 2026 · published August 16, 2026 (14 days' notice under section 11). Until August 30, 2026 the previous version applies.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Interview Coach (the "Service") — an AI-powered job-interview practice platform. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is (and is not)

The Service lets you practice job interviews with AI interviewers — by text, voice, or live conversation, in the languages the Service offers — receive AI-generated analysis of your spoken and written answers (including delivery: pace, fillers, vocal tone), get an AI review of your CV, research companies you apply to, track your applications, and generate application materials (cover letters, intro messages, tailored CVs). The interviewer personas ("Dana", "Maya", "Alex", and any others we add) and all feedback are generated by artificial intelligence — not by humans.

The Service provides practice and coaching suggestions only. It is not career, legal, or professional advice; it does not guarantee interview success, employment, or the accuracy of any generated content. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate — use your own judgment, and review generated application materials before sending them to anyone.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old. You can register with an email and password or sign in through a supported provider (such as Google or LinkedIn). Provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person; accounts are not transferable.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload or record: your CV, job postings, company descriptions, voice recordings, written answers, contacts, and schedule entries ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely to operate the Service — including sending it to the AI processors described in the Privacy Policy. Voice recordings are deleted after analysis unless you turn on “Keep my recordings” in your profile — they are analyzed transiently and deleted; with it on we store them so you can listen back, and you can delete any recording at any time. You can also permanently delete any session's transcripts and analysis yourself at any time. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not upload another person's CV or personal data without their permission.

4. Generated materials

Subject to these Terms, we assign to you our rights (if any) in the application materials the Service generates for you — cover letters, tailored CVs, intro messages. You are responsible for how you use them, including their truthfulness. The Service is designed never to invent experience on your behalf; verify before you send.

5. Tokens and payments

Paid features consume tokens. Token packs are one-time purchases — not subscriptions. Purchased tokens are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase; tokens not used by then lapse. Free or promotional tokens may carry a shorter validity stated when granted. Tokens are consumed as you use AI features (interviews, reviews, avatar video, research and similar operations); indicative costs are shown before you start. Tokens have no cash value outside the Service and are personal to your account. Refunds are handled per the Refund Policy. We may change token pricing for future purchases; changes never reduce a balance you already hold or shorten its validity.

Payments and saved payment methods are processed by Tranzila or PayPal — your card and account details never touch our servers.

6. Acceptable use

Do not: (a) misuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or probe the Service's security; (b) use the Service to harass, impersonate, or defraud anyone; (c) upload malware or unlawful content; (d) use generated output to misrepresent your qualifications to employers; (e) resell or scrape the Service; (f) circumvent token metering. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Availability, third-party services, and events beyond our control

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or available at any particular moment, and we offer no uptime commitment and no service credits for downtime. We may add, modify, or remove features, and we may suspend the Service or any part of it temporarily for maintenance, security, or capacity reasons.

The Service depends on third parties. Interviews, answer analysis, avatar video, company research, and payments are delivered through external providers — AI providers (such as OpenAI and Replicate), cloud hosting, and payment processors (Tranzila, PayPal). If one of them is down, degraded, rate-limited, or refuses a request, the features that rely on it may be slow or unavailable until that provider recovers. A third-party outage is not a breach of these Terms by us. Providers may also change, deprecate, or withdraw the models and services we build on; we may substitute an equivalent provider, model, or feature at any time, and generated output may differ as a result.

Events beyond our reasonable control. We are not liable for any failure, delay, or interruption caused by events outside our reasonable control — including third-party provider outages, suspensions, or policy changes; internet, network, or power failures; cyber-attacks; natural events; war; strikes; or acts of government or regulators. While such an event continues, our obligations under these Terms are suspended for its duration.

What you are entitled to if the Service is unavailable. Tokens are charged only for work actually delivered — an operation that fails does not consume tokens, and where tokens were consumed without delivery they are re-credited under the Refund Policy. That re-credit is your sole and exclusive remedy for unavailability or interruption. We do not owe cash compensation or damages for downtime, and in particular we are not liable for practice you could not complete or preparation you could not finish in time — including where an interview with a real employer was missed, or went badly, because the Service was unavailable. If the Service is unavailable for a prolonged period, we will extend the validity of your unused tokens by at least the length of that outage.

If we decide to discontinue the Service entirely, we will announce it in the Service and by email at least 30 days before shutdown, and during that period you can continue using your remaining tokens as usual. Tokens still unused when the Service closes lapse, except where the Refund Policy or mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this section limits rights that mandatory consumer law in your country gives you — see section 10.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, or employment outcomes; and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms. On termination, unused purchased tokens are handled per the Refund Policy; free granted tokens lapse.

10. Governing law — international users

The Service is offered internationally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel and disputes are subject to the courts of Tel Aviv — except that if you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the mandatory consumer protections, refund rights, or the right to bring proceedings in the courts, of the country where you live (including the EU/EEA, the UK, and applicable US state law). The Privacy Policy describes the rights we honor for all users worldwide.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
